Kirch1 in Bad Schwalbach

"There aren't not so many restaurants here in Bad Schwalbach, and due to the pandemic, we haven't really been aware of any new ones. We received a recommendation for another restaurant, but while searching online, we also came across Kirch1, which had good reviews. We visited the recommended restaurant the day before and it was a bit disappointing. However, Kirch1 turned out to be a surprisingly positive surprise. We had made a reservation for outdoor seating. I arrived at the restaurant first, and within a minute, a polite waiter approached me with the menu, asking what I would like to drink. I noticed it was quite windy outside, so I inquired about the possibility of moving indoors. Again, in less than 10 minutes, we were seated at a table inside. The menu looked appealing, and it didn't have an overwhelming number of options, making our selection easy. For starters, we ordered the Goat Cheese Salad and the Beef Carpaccio with truffle oil. As for the main course, we chose the Rump Steak with French fries and the filled pasta. For dessert, we opted for the Panna Cotta. The starters arrived promptly, and boy, the salad was a delicacy. It was fresh, crispy, and delicious, with a flavorful dressing. The caramelized goat cheese was also incredibly tasty. There was even a touch of fig mustard, which added a delightful flavor. We had to wait a few minutes longer than expected for the main course, but it didn't make us feel uncomfortable. The roast beef was cooked exactly as I had requested—medium rare. The chef did a wonderful job with it, and the meat was of excellent quality. Perhaps it could have been a touch more tender, but overall, it made it onto my top 5 list. The pepper sauce was also excellent, although I would have preferred it to be slightly thicker. Additionally, there was a generous serving of fresh salad with a delicious dressing. However, the French fries were of the mass-produced variety and didn't meet our expectations. Other options, such as rosemary potatoes or baked potatoes, would likely have been a better choice. The handmade and hand-filled pasta was a standout. It was possibly the best pasta I have ever had. The sauce had a creamy and fresh herb flavor, and the entire dish had a wonderful balance of tastes. Now, onto dessert. I am a big fan of Panna Cotta, and once again, this new restaurant got it just right. The Panna Cotta was delicious, and on top of it, there were strawberries, kiwi, pomegranate seeds, and a tangy strawberry sauce with a hint of lemon. The combination of flavors was spot on. Furthermore, the dessert was perfectly chilled, making it an excellent way to end the meal. As for the atmosphere and interior of the restaurant, it may not be the largest, but it has beautifully coordinated furniture and decorations. The service was excellent and ran smoothly. There was no waiting around, and the restaurant promptly fulfilled all our requests. And then there's the price. I truly felt that the prices were below average when considering the quality of the food and the level of service provided. It was definitely good value for money. For sure, we will visit there again."
